| Anyway I kept this anime on hold after watching 6 episodes. After S2 got announced I thought of completing this series. Glad I did it, last 2-3 episode was great but seriously ep 1 was the worst. Overall 8/10 |
| Great anime adaption of the manga. Flawless 8/10. The casting is perfect, along with the performances of the voice actors. The overall directing, cinematography, art, animation, soundtrack and atmosphere of this comedic adorable romance was excellent in bringing the manga to life. Truly, an amazing, for the most part faithful adaption to the manga. Awesome work from the studio, like they succeeded with Orange. Hopefully the anime continues to be fully adapted until the manga is finished. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the manga. |
| The sole reason I watched this anime was for Sumire Uesaka's performance as Nagatoro. She'll be voicing Lum in the upcoming Urusei Yatsura anime by David Production which I have high expectations of. It's a bit hard to tell cause Nagatoro has a completely different style of voice from Lum but I think she'll nail it. Interestingly I think Naoto's voice actor Daiki Yamashita could be a great Yusaku Godai in a potential Maison Ikkoku remake now that I think about it (Maison Ikkoku doesn't need a remake though, the 80's anime is still a masterpiece). Now on to the actual anime. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would. Even more than a similarly-themed anime with the "will they, won't they" type of romance between a boy and a girl with way better animation *cough* Komi-san *cough*... I didn't really enjoy the first 2-3 episodes but it kept getting better and better with almost every episode. I thought I'd simply get used to Nagatoro's antics but nah she actually does get less annoying over time. Senpai had a decent harem of 4 annoying girls but now he's actually getting a bit popular with other girls as well. Good on him. I didn't expect his character to change so much so fast so that was nice to see. I thought Nagatoro's gang were genuinely helping Paisen cause they secretly treat him as a friend rather than a toy but looks like they just wanted to make money selling the Nagatoro pins? Lol I'm so glad season 2 is already confirmed. Hope I won't have to wait long. |

| This show was pretty far on both extremes for me. Hated the bullying portions of it but really enjoyed the genuine portions of their interactions. |

| I was just going to comment that I really liked this lighthearted series and its nice simple end that lets the way open for a continuation. But reading some of this comments, oh my god. It really shows the fears and lack of social interaction of your overall otaku fanbase and how much of them seem to have ptsd about being bullied.. oh gosh... is kinda weird. Fortunately this anime seems to be popular with the general public and a second session was confirmed. I am looking forward to more Nagatoro x Hachiouji antics in the next session. |

| So the anime decided to go meta and turn the gimmick of Nagatoro's bullying into an advertising gimmick. I guess the anime's self-aware to that extent at least, though I'm unsure if that's something the show really wants to point out. Does it really want to spell it out that much? That aside, there was a short scene with the student council with the club president defending her painting as art. It's a fine argument to have, as there's no real easy answer to the question of separating art and pornography. However, argument felt like it was thrown in and quickly skipped over. I was wondering if the show had any particular sentiments with that, but then after the president felt enthralled from cosplaying as a bunny girl, apparently she might also be an exhibitionist. Anyways, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san reminds me of tales regarding school kids of opposite genders picking on each other because the bully secretly like the victim. I think that's what the anime wants to reference, and while I know this is absolutely not reflective of reality, I can understand what the anime's trying to get at. It comes in a line of awkward romantic comedies that rely on certain gimmicks to draw attention, and in this case, it's Nagatoro's bullying. While it does get close to some serious offenses (shaving Hachiouji head, piercing his ear, general daily torment), it never fully commits to going overboard, and Hachiouji doesn't seem to dislike the girls. By the end, Nagatoro and Hachiouji seem at least fond of each other. Then again, this could be an abusive relationship coming into play, so what do I know. This isn't a show worth overthinking, so for what it's worth, Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san is fine for what it is: a gag comedy with the gimmick of bullying, but without going full Elfen Lied. The bullying scenes are just enough to get the point across, which are then whisked away by ample sexual fan service and awkward, questionably romantic interactions. |
| Oh guess what they won, thanks to one too lewd art submission from president. Though that punishment, not sure if she really was upset with it or not lol. We got a peck on cheek to wrap things up, which if I think for a minute is miles better than the way we started things off. Still though that doesn't mean it can brush off the problems i had with this series, maybe last few episodes made me think a bit better. Have to settle with a 5/10. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| And so Senpai, Nagatoro and her friends first battle against, then must fight to preserve the awesome erotic power of the Art Club President's big, beautiful tits....errr painting in a culture festival competition to end the first season. You know, it's been awhile since I've watched an anime where the very first episode of said anime was pretty decisively also the worst episode of said anime. I'm sure it's happened before, but I'm struggling to think of an example. Of a series I watched to completion certainly anyway. And that makes sense on some level. Why continue a series if the first episode turns you off? And the first episode of Nagatoro was definitely a turnoff. Far too mean-spirited in its teasing to be enjoyable. But I suppose this also serves as an example of why it's important to give a show more than one episode(I usually give 3 or 4) as the series improved pretty instantly and over time so dramatically that I genuinely enjoyed it. Very cute and enjoyable relationship hijinks on the whole. Perhaps not on the level of something like Takagi-san, but still a solid 7/10. I look forward to Season 2, something I would not have guessed I'd say after watching that first episode. |
| Wow, just wow. This anime has been a rollercoaster. I am honestly surprised but grateful I managed to stick through it with it. also that post credit scene was genuinely so cute. |

| This wasn't half bad fam, and I'm not just saying that because of bunny-girl-president. It's actually kind of good. And yeah, what a way to wrap up the season, with that end credits scene. Again I never intended to drop this while it was airing around two years ago, perhaps I might have lost interest with the middle episodes and had just forgot about it all. But seeing season 2 being just around the corner in literally just a couple days made me pick it up again, and I'm glad I did. It's not QUITE a 7/10 for me, but it is a very high 6/10. Let's give it a 6.9/10 and call it a day shall we. See you guys soon in season 2. |

| It was actually a decent show, with some character development. The first episode and maybe the 1st half of the 2nd were a little harder to stomach, but overall it was easy to watch. Not a fan of the main character, and I think they overplayed the fanservice/sexual aspects a little. Considering I am watching this knowing there is a 2nd season, I do wonder if the romantic tension being built goes anywhere. |

| I gotta say, I enjoyed this anime much much more than I expected. I thought this was going to be an anime that I would have dropped after two episodes due to being too childish, but nope, I was engaged. Its a silly anime at the end of the day, but it had a charm to it. Nagatoro is a cutie, especially with that tan-delicious-skin of hers. I also loved the scenes when Senpai was together with Nagatoro and all of Nagatoro's friends, those scenes were fun. I actually like all of Nagatoro's friends as well, they were fun. I liked how Senpai grew as a character, even not being bothered being around Nagatoro's friends. I also liked how Nagatoro got possessive of Senpai and didnt like when one of her friends got physically close to him. And that club President was something else, hahahaha. And it was nice of Nagatoro to actually give Senpai a kiss at the end, with no games. Overall, much more enjoyable than I expected. |

| Aaaaand there is the kiss, of course. I think it was a good decision to put it in the end, had way more of an impact that way. Seems like president lost only because she got disqualified, well that was quite the raunchy self portrait of her, much more daring than her last one. Ah man... this show was a ride, I did not expect. The first four episodes were just... chef's kiss, so damn good. My expectations were immense when I started episode 5, but it got much more tame from there on, which most people seem to prefer. Production-wise I have no complaints at all, art/animation and music were superb. Characters were also all quite enjoyable... well except for Yoshi, I feel like her character was pretty pointless. I love Takagi-san and Uzaki-chan, gave both of them a 9/10. But I have to say that Nagatoro-san is just... better. Mostly because of Nagatoro herself, I just love her personality. And even Paisen wasn't that bad of a character. He isn't dense like a generic harem protagonist, just shy and that was portrayed quite nicely. I still wanna know why Nagatoro decided to mess with him in episode 1, hopefully we'll learn about that in season 2. For me this is now the king of teasing anime, a genre which I already love. 10/10 |
